To activate customer orders within point of sale, tick Orders Activated-POS in the POS tab of the Setup Options screen.

Orders cannot be taken for the default cash sale account. Retrieve or add a new customer if an order is to be taken. This enables full tracking of customer information and transactions.

When a part is not available, the customer may wish you to buy it in for them as a special order. Enter the quantity required in the order column and a zero in the supplied column.

When updating you will be prompted with a deposit screen. The default percentage can be set in POS tab of the Setup Options screen. Retrieve the customer order at any time with F5.

The deposit button can be selected to accept a further payment on the order.

To display a list of unsatisfied orders, select the Orders By Customer Report in the Customer Reports Menu.

To display or report a list of Supplier Orders required to satisfy the customer orders, select the Suggested Supplier Order/Cust Orders Report, in the Supplier Report Menu.

    Retrieve Orders

This function allows you to see if there are any orders for the specific customer.

The screen will automatically display any time a customer is entered and there are outstanding orders, quotes or suspended invoices. Suspended invoices are treated as customer orders.

As you move down the left column, the parts on that specific order or quote will display on the right.

Locate the required order and double click, enter or press F10.

Press Esc or F9 to return to the POS screen without loading the order.
