Changing the Power Settings

To stop the MC45 turning off after a short period of non-use:

1. Tap Start Settings Power icon Advanced tab.

2. Set the turn off value to 5 minutes, or off all together if you prefer.

3. Select ok.

If in the Pick Stock screen when an incorrect part is scanned and the in stock QTY box does not change colour to notify you the part is in correct you need too,

In the PDASuite menu screen select the Server tab, remove the Tilde (~) symbol form the box and un-tick the Character Return box

This should fix the problem

(ONLY FOR MOTOROLA PDA'S)

First you will need to connect it to the internet, highlight the Wireless option from the start menu and select the fusion option from the taskbar at the bottom of the PDA, then select options, change the dropdown to WLAN Management and tick the tick option  windows manages WLAN, click save and OK

Once this is completed the PDA MUST BE RESTARTED (hold down the power button and select power off), then turn the PDA back on

Once the PDA has restarted double click on the option WI-FI and a list of available networks will appear, select your network and enter the appropriate details

If the PDAsuite is already installed on the PDA you can start from number 4

Below will be instructions on the downloading of the PDA program and connecting it to your server

1.     Open up internet explorer and browse to the website
http://peachsoftware.net.au/downloads/pda/PDASuite.exe
2.     it will start a download press yes to continue
3.     the file will be downloaded to you file explorer folder
4.     On the Server (main computer) click on the Windows Start button.

5.     Then click on RUN
6.     Type in CMD and press continue
7.     This will open a black box type IPCONFIG into this box and press enter
8.     Make note of the IPv4 Address (E.G. 192.168.1.1)
9.     Open Peach Software and make note of the DB Location down the bottom (E.G. C:\pbsvb)
10.   Open the PDAsuite program on the PDA
11.   Click on the Server Tab down (base of the screen)

12.   Enter the IPv4 Address you noted down into the PDA’S IP Address box
13.   Make sure the Database location is correct compared to that on your server
14.   Click the Store button
15.   Navigate to the Stocktake program and scan/search for a product.

Once this is done you are ready to go

If the Barcode scanner is not working go to the main menu and click on the program called 'DataWedge' and click on the option called running, this will start up the barcode program

When you first take the Motorola PDA of off standby (Idle) it will take about 30 seconds for the PDA to connect back to the WIFI during this time the PDASuite should not be opened as it can cause errors

All notes about the MC45 go here. Customers only starting getting these units in December 2013.
Supplier is SEKTOR 02 9947 1555 for service.

Wifi Settings. There are 2 ways to set up the Wifi - 1. Is to create a profile (hard way) or you can turn on "Windows Manages Wifi"   Here is how you do this.....

Home Screen
Select    Wifi
Select    Fusion   (button at base of screen)
Options
WLan management
sELECT wINDOWS mANAGAES wlan
Save
OK
Once back at the home screen select the Wifi you would like to connect to
Connect to the internet
next
Authentification = WPA2-PSK
Data Encryption = AES
Enter the Network Key
Next
Finish

If the device keeps trying to connect but cannot you probably have entered the incorrect network key. So then go back to the list of Wifi Connections and then hold the stylus on and select remove settings and start again.
