can also use " delete inactive products " from the product menu.
The screen is pretty self explanitory but just a note on generate statistics ....
If you have ticked " active parts only on reports " (this is in the setup options product tab) then whenever a generate statistics is done the active tick is maintained in the product file automatically.
If this is not ticked the active tick in product control is assumed to be maintained by the user. Edited by peach - 05-Aug-2007 at 12:07 |

Delete Product F9
The delete button is used to delete the currently displayed product. The product cannot normally be deleted if there is stock on hand or active orders. It is not recommended to delete products with any current year or prior year statistics. Deleted parts are stored in a separate file, and can be viewed on the product browse screen by selecting the Deleted option. Add Product F10The Add button is used to add a new product. Enter the new product code. It is preferable to use consistent coding for products, preferably a code that is an industry standard or the primary supplier’s part number.
The product code can be alphanumeric and up to 20 characters. If you wish to borrow the details of an existing product click the option that is at the base of the add product screen or press F5. If you are using this option make sure that you review the required product immediately prior to press the F10 add button. If the product code already exists then you will be notified and you will have to select another product code. Another method of adding parts is from the reference file. Refer to the Reference Products notes. Edited by Susmita - 23-Jan-2007 at 01:45 |
