For 12 Digit Barcode compatibility this patch will add a 0 to the front of the barcode scanned when it detects only 12 digits.
On the PDA, 1)
Remove old scan setting:
start>>setting>>>Remove program>>>remove Mobilexp ScanSetting. 2) open internet explorer Go to: www.peachsoftware.net.au/downloads/pda
>> click on the link for “scansetting.cab” 3) Once downloaded, open File Explorer and
go to the file and click on it to start the installation. (remember, it’s
called scansetting.cab) 4) Once completed, take the battery out of
the back and let the system reboot from scratch. 5) Go to start >>> program
>>> scan setting >> Barcode List >> Advanced >> Tick
the UPCA to EAN13 option > Apply or Ok or close the screen. |

When wanting to change between numeric and alpha numeric you hold down the 1 key and this will change between the two. If you cant open the onscreen keyboard inside a program, you can open the keyboard before entering the program and it will stay onscreen

WIFI setting in GSTAR to meet Router requirements. It works now. We normally recommend to use ACCESS POINT. Most small business user select WIFI router (because it is cheaper)instead. Some WIFI routers can be configured as access point---this is good. But most routers cant be convert to access point----in this case, user has to carefully configure their router-----like DNS IP address, DHCP & gateway IP address--------in most cases, user will mix up network server LAN IP addresses with router LAN IP addresses, this will cause troubles. Once router has been configured, all user needs to do is to copy related IP addresses into WIFI setting fields ( Start>>>>settings>>>>connections>>>>>>WIFI). In case of trouble connection, I recommend that firstly test WIFI router with a laptop before checking GSTAR. |
