We assume your hardware supplier has connected your wireless router using open WEP code security
and assigned an SSID that is broadcasted. Also it is assumed that the router is able to
distribute the DHCP so that the PDA can connect without other settings being entered.

STEP 5
WIRELESS CONNECTION
BTSHELL - SYSTEM PROPERTIES - RADIO FREQUENCY OPTION TAB, SELECT "USE" FROM THE ZERO CONFIG DROP DOWN BOX
APPLY
OK
FROM THE SAME PAGE CLICK THE INFO TAB & SELECT "RF OPEN CONTINUOUSLY" THEN APPLY AND AN
ANTENNA SHOULD APPEAR AT BOTT OF SCREEN

A NETWLAN1 SCREEN SHOULD APPEAR, IF NOT DBLE CLICK THE TWO COMPUTERS NOW AT THE BASE OF THE SCREEN.
SELECT THE WIRELESS SSID FROM YOUR ROUTER AND SELECT CONNECT.
(IF THE TWO COMPUTERS HAVE NOT APPEARED
THEN REPEAT STEP 5 ABOVE BUT CLICK CLOSE AND THEN OPEN CONTINOUSLY AGAIN AT THE INFO TAB)

UNTICK THE BOX "The key is provided automatically" and enter the wep code in the box that appears
called "Network Key"
remember the keyboard can be found by pressing the "A" Icon at the base of the screen.
The Status in the screen should now say connected and the network SSID should have the word (preffered)
next to it.

Now close all screens till you get back to the desktop.

To Test dbl click Internet Explorer from the desktop..msn is the default web page and should appear
(if Peach has pre setup the device you may find that Peachsoftware.com.au is thedefault web page.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To make Peachsoftware the Default Web Site.......

open internet explorer and select View and then internet options
in the start page enter www.peachsoftware.com.au   (press return on the keyboard)
IE will go back to the web page and then close internet explorer and re open it.
Peach software should now be the default.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Download the stocktake program

click downloads from the peach web site
Page down about 11 times until you see Download PDA Stocktake) and single click the link.
default is to save this program and select yes
A save as browse screen will come up .....Dble click program files and then click OK
Click close and then close the web page as well
Dble click My Computer from the desktop
Dble Click Program files
press & hold on stockpda icon and select copy from the drop down box
close the screen and should be back at the desktop
press & holds the stylus on an empty part of the desktop and select Paste Shortcut
Now you should have an icon saying shortcut to stock pda.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Setup Stocktake

Assuming your network person has your Peach server on a static ip and that he has allowed port 80 open to the
pda.

Dble click shortcut to stock pda icon and wait for the program to start
OK to the message and then select the setup tab
database location is where the peach database is on the server, normally c:\pbsvb
In the Server IP Box type the ip address of the server that peach is installed on e.g. 192.168.0.1
minimise the keyboard and press store. The unit will beep etc and say that the IP has been saved.
Close that screen   "OK"
Click on the stocktake TAB
Tap your stylus in the very top box and tap the button to the right with an A on it
This should bring up the keyboard
type the start of a part   eg   z1   and click the magnifier
a list of parts appears
single click any of the parts and it should come into the screen with the instkqty from Peach Highlighted.
Simply type your count which will overwrite the current count and press update
If the count is correct then just go straight to Update.
Each click on update enters a stocktake entry into Peach so even if the stock count was correct you still know
it has been counted.
If you want to scan a part simply press the left or right hand side scan buttons and the part should load
straight to the screen

Enter your count into the count box

(the first time you turn the unit on and use it, it be a little slow and then after the first
search it will become faster. If during use the responce slows then this would indicate that the wireless signal
is fading and perhaps you are too far from the router. You can minimise the keypad by clicking on the Alfa Key
up near the Part number Box.
