To turn on the barcode scanner, click on the 94Reader on the desktop. After that the scanner should work, you might have to do this everytime the PDA runs out of battery or resets.

WIFI CONNECTION - Follow this in the specific order set if you are having troubles connecting to the internet: 1. Delete any existing profiles in your wifi settings. TURN YOUR WIFI OFF - Click the "signal" icon at the bottom of screen and power off wifi. 2. Edit the Wifi adapter to assign or auto assign an IP Address. To get there click Start > settings > network & dial-up connections. For a specific IP Address you will need an 'unassigned' IP address e.g. 10.0.0.20 > the 'Subnet Mask' will be 250.0.0.0 and the gateway will be the "Servers" internal IP Address which can be found on the server machine by typing in "ipconfig /all" without the quotes in command prompt. (Command prompt is found by Start > Run > type "cmd") After you have done this goto the "Name Servers" Tab and the 'Primary DNS' should read the same as your Gateway or internal ip. When this is done click OK (top right hand corner) and go back to wifi settings (click 2 computers at bottom of desktop) and Goto the 'wireless information' tab again and double click on the Network you wish to join > select the appropriate settings for your type of Wireless > click ok and try to connect again. |

WHERE IS THE RESET BUTTON
ON FRONT OF PDA
1CM LEFT OF THE ON/OFF BUTTON
(Only an indent, not a hole right through, so use a paper clip)

Barcodes with zero in front.
some barcodes starting with a zero dont work. try putting another 0 in front of the barcdoe in Peach. You cn test this by clearing the barcode in a certain part then find it by the part number on the pda, scan the barcode into it and update. Now look at peach and see what number it has entered. Test that the scanner can now scan the part successfully and your done.

Make sure when you enter the area in the case of a consignment system the area & Case is correct. The transaction trail in a consignment system is not very good, needs work.
As far as the InStkQty is concerned after a gen stats its ok.

easy way to browse to a web site is to start keyboard and then start wordpad from programs. type the adres and it will creat the link and then click it. This will open the address in IE.
When applications suchas wordpad and IE are open you cant get to the keyboard. So start the keyboard first

when recieving an error on the pda saying that the progrqam is not compatible with microsoft. go to the website:
http://www.peachsoftware.com.au/pda.htm - If you have Model Cipher Lab 9400 then you need Ver5.0 - all other PDa's use ver 4.2 - download the file to the PDA and run it. - once you run it, it will want to install in the \Windows folder. - just click on OK and let it complete. - then the stock PDa will work.
